Dennis connected with Emma after seeing her play volleyball at a tournament in Foley.  We had just started looking at the process of getting Emma in front of coaches, but didn’t really know the best steps to take.  Dennis’s passion and excitement for the sport can be viewed in everything he does.  He worked with Emma through the entire process. He was always there to answer questions, make connections with coaches, and keep Emma accountable.  He never sweet coated anything, which was exactly what you need during recruitment!

I am so thankful for everything Dennis provided during the recruitment process!  I would without a doubt recommend Dennis and Roesle Sports Consulting to any family looking at collegiate level volleyball.

Dennis brings a lot of passion and personal attention to his role as a recruiting coordinator. His knowledge of the recruiting process is extensive and his commitment to getting each of his athletes recruited is second to none. Our daughter's skills videos were professional and highlighted her skills very well. He know what coaches want to see and ensures tat it is captured in their videos and in their profile sheet. We recommend Dennis to all our friends with aspiring collegiate athletes!

Our daughter first met Dennis at a tournament in Biloxi when he spoke with her about her interest in playing volleyball at the college level. She had mentioned it to us before, but we honestly had no idea where to even begin. Not knowing much about recruiting services or what the process entailed, we were initially hesitant. However, after speaking with Dennis our concerns were immediately placed at ease. Dennis explained his role, but most importantly, what Gabby’s role would be. It requires work from the athlete and we wanted to ensure that she was going to be dedicated to this process and what it would require of her.  He was very clear from the beginning that her academic performance was just as important as her athletic performance. His communication throughout this entire process has been superb! He was always available whenever Gabby had any questions, whether by email, text message or phone call. Dennis continued to emphasize the importance of finding the “right fit” as Gabby continued this process during her sophomore and junior year. Dennis’ rapport with college coaches and the connections he has was instrumental in Gabby finding her home to continue on with her athletic and academic dreams. Thank you for the time and energy you invested in our daughter. You have been such a blessing to our family!

When our daughter, Lauren, expressed an interest in playing volleyball in college we were unsure of the best way to help her connect with college coaches. I had seen advertisements from national recruiting services but as I asked around I was repeatedly was given the name Roesle Sports Consulting. We first met Dennis at a local volleyball tournament.  He answered our initial questions and shared his extensive knowledge of how to navigate the recruiting landscape. The value of working with Dennis soon became evident to us and only increased over time. At our first client meeting with him he made sure Lauren understood that she would lead the recruiting journey. He told her that her efforts, not his or ours, would determine whether or not she was recruited to play at the next level. This conversation motivated Lauren to create a plan to achieve her goal.  It was fun to see the excitement and confidence she felt about her future after that first meeting.  Once Lauren created her list of schools where she would be interested in playing Dennis made regular contact with those coaches. Prior to and during volleyball tournaments he created opportunities for Lauren to be seen by coaches that she would not have been able to create on her own. Additionally he encouraged her to relax and play her game when coaches were watching her play.  His calm and encouraging demeanor allowed her to enjoy playing volleyball while also navigating the recruiting process.  Lauren ultimately was fortunate to be recruited by many top schools and is now committed to the process of playing volleyball at Yale University. I highly recommend Dennis Roesle for his professional, friendly, methodical expertise to anyone wishing to optimize their opportunities to play college sports. We want to express our gratitude to Dennis and Roesle Sports Consulting for working with Lauren as she set and achieved her goal of playing college volleyball.

Sincerely,

We want to thank you for your guidance and friendship through the three-year journey that was Skyler’s recruitment to Tulane.  When it all started, we quickly became overwhelmed with the realization that we were ignorant on most aspects of the recruiting process.  A good friend referred us to you and from the first conversation we felt that we could trust you to guide us through the maze before us.  We had spoken with national recruiting services prior to meeting with you and were skeptical of the concept but you quickly earned out trust with solid information, delivered without any promises of unrealistic success, and a plan of how to teach our daughter to communicate with the coaches and develop relationships that would ultimately lead to her finding a home at Tulane.  You held Skyler accountable in ways that it is difficult for a coach or parent to do but were also patient and engaging to ensure she developed a rapport with you.  The information you provided on the recruiting rules of the various college divisions, combined with your knowledge of what individual schools needed in 2021 insured that we were not only informed on the process but also reaching out to schools that had opportunities we were looking for.  The recruiting process is stressful and often confusing, but you were there every step of the way for us as parents and for Skyler as well.  You were instrumental in the recruiting process for us and more importantly Skyler has no doubts that she made the right decision about her future.  Please do not hesitate to list us as a reference for any potential clients. Thank you again for everything.

Prospective Client,

It was very early on in my daughter’s high school career that it became very obvious that a working family like ours would have a difficult time keeping up with the next best steps for our daughter’s prospective college opportunities.  We quickly learned from many local parents that there was only one option if we were looking for a consultant, Dennis.

We met Dennis for the initial interview and while I was more than pleased with what he had to say, I was even more pleased with his ability to communicate and relate with a 15-year-old teenager.  My daughter Haley and Dennis conversed as if they had known each other for years.  As time when on, it became obvious to us that Dennis not only wanted what was best for Haley’s volleyball career, he just wanted what was best for her in life.

As we traveled from event to event, Dennis would be everywhere.  In Atlanta there would be hundreds of courts and Dennis would find a way to be at everyone where one of his players was competing.  It was often that I would spend a lot of time talking with Dennis courtside.  Almost every time, he would turn and walk away, mid-sentence, on a mission to catch a coach to see who they were watching and to promote one of his players if they fit the need.  His repour with the coaches is just as great as he has with his kids.  At almost every tournament I would witness college coaches track him down to say hi just as fast as his current and past players would.  I think that says more about him than anything.  The clients and the coaches have the same respect and appreciation for him, what more could you ask for.

I will end on this… Dennis did not just become a friend of ours, he was like family.  We trusted him, depended on him, and loved the relationship and influence he had with our daughter.  He is the absolute best at what he does and cares deeply for each and every one of his clients.  There are many things we will miss about high school volleyball now that it has ended for our family.  Relationships like we had with Dennis will be missed more than anything!

Thank you for everything Dennis!

Dear Dennis,
I have been going over and over in my mind how to pen words that would do justice to express my gratitude for what you have done for my baby girl.  I think back three years to the long-legged, skinny girl who was nervous to meet you, and boy, have things changed.

When Hannah decide she was passionate about volleyball and wanted to play in college, I had no idea what we needed to do.  I received an email from you after Hannah attended a showcase and what stood out to me were the personal touches you put in the email.  Little did I know you would teach Hannah exactly what she needed to do to reach her goal.  She learned leadership, discipline, and perseverance just by being a part of your program.  I knew your program was the right fit for us when you said, "Athletics is a means to an education," and "Coaches ask me about grades then character."

Hannah has signed with her top choice - University of Alabama at Huntsville, and I know you don't like for me to say it, however, it wouldn't have happened without you.  All glory and honor first and foremost goes to our Savior, but you were His instrument. UAH was not even on our radar when you pointed us in the direction.  Hannah's goal of paying fully for college and playing a sport she loves is no longer a dream - its a reality.

To say that you are worth more than your fee would be a gross understatement. Your leadership and guidance along this journey is, well, PRICELESS! We already miss you and your sarcastic self.  That girl, timid and shy then, loves you! Of course, you know she is no longer timid around you.  Your care for her is seen in your banter back and forth when we see you!

I would come to any parent meeting you ever have, advertise all over for you, shout it from the rooftops - Dennis Roesle, you are hands down THE GUY parents CAN and SHOULD trust with their daughter's future!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
With much appreciation,

To Whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Dennis Roesle and his company Roesle Sports Consulting. I have known Dennis for over 15 years and first met him while I was coaching college at the University of South Alabama.
Over the years, I have been in different positions where I needed the help of a recruiting coordinator. First, as a Division 1 Head Volleyball Coach, then as a club director for Mobile Storm Volleyball Club and most recently as a mom to a recruited volleyball player.

When I first met Dennis, I was the Head Coach at South Alabama and was being bombarded by so much information from different student-athletes that my staff and I needed the help of a local person to keep us up to date on potential recruits. During this time, is when my trust for Dennis started and I knew he had an amazing understanding of what a college coach is looking for and which players could play at the different college levels. He would never promote a player that could not play in my program or had any type of negative attributes, like poor body language, disgruntled parents or an unknown injury. That honesty is the foundation for our relationship and the reason why I trusted him with my players at Storm and my own daughter.
As a club director, Dennis and I work hand and hand to help our mutual clients find the best fit for them. Because of the limited time I have with running a club, I constantly need Dennis’ help in researching the needs of each college program, contacting colleges, making skills videos and overall guidance in the recruiting process. Mobile Storm could not be as successful as we are with placing players in college without the help of Dennis and his company.

Finally, as a parent I relied heavily on Dennis to maneuver through the recruiting process by helping to facilitate phone calls, visits and sincere interest from colleges. Most importantly, however, is the guidance that Dennis gave to my daughter, Kayla. He built a relationship with Kayla throughout this process and she knows that she can trust him and that he will be there for her always. There are so many recruiting services that do not care to build that relationship with their athletes and in the end, that is the best part of what Dennis does.

If you are considering using a recruiting company, Dennis Roesle and Roesle Sports Consulting are the only way to go. There is no one like him in the business!

Sincerely,

Nicole Keshock
Director Mobile Storm Volleyball Club- Over 150 student-athletes that have committed to play college volleyball

When we came to Dennis, we were clients of another regional recruiter for a very well known national recruiting service. We had heard of Dennis’ success and commitment to his softball player clients. Our daughter was a sophomore, already behind the eight ball, and even though we had paid a pretty penny to our recruiter, we were seeing no results and still doing a lot of work that we thought we had paid the recruiter from the national company to do.

In the summer before her junior year, what locked us into making the change to Roesle Consulting was what we witnessed during a huge softball showcase tournament in Lake City. He was there representing several girls on multiple teams from Pensacola and Mobile and he was able to work for all of them by just talking to coaches who were watching the games. If the coaches were looking for a certain age, type, or position that was or wasn’t playing at that time, he talked up the clients that “fit” and or let them know when a player they might be interested in was playing. We watched as he followed his clients as they played and saw him talking to several coaches and former players who are now coaching. He is respected throughout the college softball world because he knows when to push, not to push, and when to be perfectly honest with a client and coaches.

We asked our recruiter if he could be at our next tournament to represent us and several other clients he represented on our team but he was unavailable. He said he would send someone locally from the company and we thought this would suffice. We never saw or met anyone. We consulted with our former recruiter personally to discuss what we were experiencing and we were told that coaches don’t like to talk to recruiters at events and this was looked down upon. Although we really enjoyed our former recruiter’s friendship and discussions with our daughter, we felt like a business transaction and even though this is Dennis’ “job”, you don’t feel like a customer, you feel like part of a family and your kid is one of his kids.

We lost a lot of money with the contract we were never allowed release from but our daughter is a true example of Dennis’ dedication and commitment to supporting her dream as long as she continued to work hard as well. Within eight months of changing teams and recruiters, our daughter was offered a D2 softball scholarship, a NAIA scholarship,a preferred walk on offer at a D-l and five FJCSAA (JUCO) full rides. Three out of the six schools’ softball teams were nationally ranked. She accepted a full JUCO scholarship offer to play for the 2014 NJCAA national champion and fourth place winner of the 2015 FJCSAA championship. She is so excited about her future and the opportunity to continue playing softball at the college level and possibly for a university after JUCO. We cannot thank Dennis enough for all he did and continues to do for our daughter.

We are very grateful that Dennis helped Livi with the college recruitment process. Dennis does a great job of selecting his athletes, getting to know them and making the time to watch and film each of them. Dennis also gives each athlete clear instruction on what they need to do during the recruitment process. However, the most valuable aspect of working with Dennis is his coaching contacts and knowledge of their recruiting needs. Without that knowledge and Dennis’ help, I am confident that Livi would not have found the perfect school for her.

Thanks Dennis!

We, like many other families, had no idea where to start when our daughter Bayley decided that she would like to continue playing volleyball after high school. We watched her teammates and other athletes during their interactions with Dennis at tournaments and listened as their parents told us of their experiences of the process with him. We did our research and spoke to other options, such as the big recruiting companies. Ultimately, we decided we wanted a local, more personal approach where our daughter wasn’t just another number in a database.

The first time we met with Dennis, we didn’t talk very much about volleyball. The focus was on Bayley’s grades, college fit and potential majors at school. He also shared with us what college coaches are looking for in a student athlete: character, academics, coachability, what kind of teammate they are, etc. It was a no-nonsense discussion of their most important aspects on and off the court.
As parents, we also appreciated how he emphasized throughout her recruitment that she do the work of contacting coaches when appropriate (phone calls, emails, follow-ups, etc.). Those moments built applicable life skills far beyond volleyball and created important relationships with potential programs. It also gave our daughter ownership of the process.

We also valued how he was courtside at tournaments to talk to coaches who came to watch our daughter play. His connections to coaches at every level are invaluable and it is evident that he is highly respected among them all.

Lastly, we appreciated the relationship he cultivated with Bayley and her fellow athletes. He would always hold them accountable while encouraging them in the best way possible; and I know they all loved and appreciated his investment in their current and future lives.

Bayley is not only playing at the next level but is thriving as both a student and athlete. Greg and I cannot recommend Dennis enough to anyone who needs help navigating the complications and uncertainties of the recruiting process.

Working with Dennis Roesle was fundamental throughout my daughter’s high school volleyball career.

Of course, there are other fundamentals: a strong volleyball club, a strong workout program and most of all- strong work ethic. For many parents, the most difficult part of the recruiting process is understanding how colleges recruit, evaluate, and show interest in student-athletes. To better explain the college recruiting process, it's best to work with a sports consultant- we chose Dennis Roesle.

But let me answer your first question as the parent of an athlete:

Can’t we get our kid signed without a consultant?
Absolutely. First and foremost, learn all the NCAA rules inside and out for communicating to a college coach about your child (recall the interrogation scene from The Blind Side). Research the differences in programs and scholarships between D1, D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA. Be sure to attend all games and perhaps some practices to gather good, QUALITY video. Create a good, QUALITY skills video that really stands out then follow up with a good, QUALITY game highlight video. Google all the correct addresses for the coaches and then make sure your kid says the proper things in those emails (again, see NCAA rules). Have those fun heart to heart talks with your child when they start to slack in their games/workouts/academics (drop me a line and let me know how that goes).

Dennis knows all this and does this-all day long. It’s not just a job to him. He takes his recruits and their success very seriously. And those uncomfortable “Hey, you’re kinda slackin’” talks? He does that- with respect and with the true intent of helping your athlete succeed.

True Story and Results Not Typical: My daughter was offered a D1, full-ride at 15 years old (the youngest recruit the college coach ever had), less than 6 months after working with Dennis.

Is this a guarantee? Nope.

Is it achievable? Absolutely. Just re-read my letter and take my advice.

Call Dennis and have a conversation. You won’t regret it.

I would highly recommend Dennis and Roesle Sports Consulting for any high school athlete that wants to play collegiately.  From the beginning Dennis sat down with myself and my daughter to find out what she was looking for in a school but also what she was looking for from an academic standpoint.  From his questions regarding both athletics and academics, you could tell that Dennis cared deeply for his clients.

While other recruiting services make promises that never come to fruition, Dennis has followed through on everything he said he would do.  While other sites might create a profile or web page, Dennis not only does that but also provides a professional quality video to send to college coaches.  He will also reshoot your video to show improvements you have made. Dennis also provided a huge service by furnishing a list of all coaches and their contact information, saving an almost uncountable amount of time.

Perhaps the most important aspect of his job, Dennis will actually show up at high school and travel ball tournaments to watch your child play.  He will talk to coaches and get them interested. In one tournament we attended, Dennis actually introduced my daughter to a college coach, got that coach interested enough to show up later to watch my daughter play, and later led to an offer.  While my daughter ended up committing to another school, that experience showed me all I needed to know about Dennis.

Everyone knows the cost associated with playing travel sports and when it comes time to find a recruiting service, you want the best return on your investment.  From my experience, Dennis provides a better service than those large companies who seem intent on only taking your money, and does it for less than half what other recruiting services charge.

I would recommend Dennis and Roesle Sports Consulting for any parent that wants to help their child’s dream of playing at the next level a reality.

Dear prospective client of Roesle Consulting,

Our daughter decided in 9th grade that she wanted to pursue playing volleyball in college.  She was a fairly tall young teen and attracted the attention of several college recruiters in her first year of playing Club Volleyball.  We were completely under prepared for the adventure upon which we were about to embark.

Around that time, Dennis contacted us to meet our family and discuss his involvement in our daughter’s recruiting.  While we were first skeptical (why would this guy from Florida want to represent a young player from Mississippi), we agreed we had nothing to lose and a lot of information to gain!  Fast forward three years and our daughter has accepted a scholarship to play volleyball and she got to that point in no small part due to the help of Dennis.

While a lot of the responsibilities required of these student athletes during recruiting is not rocket science, it was very helpful to have a knowledgeable consultant whom our daughter could call and ask questions.  He also kept her on task, on time and focused.  Sometimes it is better to have someone (anyone) other than a parent to push a teen into uncomfortable territory – and that was a huge part of Dennis’ involvement in our daughter’s process.

Phone interviews, emails, follow up calls and emails are all foreign duties to these young ladies, but with Dennis’ help, they do learn to ask for what they want and sell their strengths to coaches in a professional manner.  Lastly, the list of “player needs” which Dennis compiles from the colleges and universities is an invaluable resource for his clients.

The players can see which schools need players in their position and not waste their time (and that of the coaches) calling and emailing a coach who doesn’t need a recruit in their position for several years.  In summary, our family was happy with the services Dennis provided our daughter.  He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to about the process.

Sincerely,

KK and Wesley Walk (daughter Becca – 2020 to attend South Alabama University).

We’ve been with Roesle Consulting since Avery was in the 8th grade, and decided that she wanted to be a college athlete. Of course this process can be very confusing and to be honest a little scary. You want to make sure you do everything you can to help your children succeed and get their name out there. We spoke with some of the national recruiting companies, and that made it even more confusing, So we thought we do our own video and profile but who do we send it to, how do we communicate with the coaches, etc.

Lucky for us we contacted Dennis; he came to our home, sat in our dining room and went over every aspect of what he does, and what our daughter needed to do. Dennis is one of the most straight forward people we know; he is not going to sugar coat anything and without a shadow of a doubt will not tolerate laziness, drama, etc. He expects his clients to be hard working in athletics and academics. Dennis puts together a very impressive video, finds out where your child wants to go to school and their goals are and if he gives you an exclusive list to contact college coaches. We couldn’t be more happier with our decision!

Sincerely,
Brian & Vicki Beauchaine

We want you to know how much we truly appreciate everything you have done to help Mikaela attain her dream of playing Division I college volleyball.  You have been instrumental in helping answer our questions, getting her skills video done (not once but twice!), adding game footage along the way and making sure all of this got sent out to each and every coach who may have needed a 2016 recruit.  You have a gift for relating to these young athletes and making sure they stay on track with the recruiting process. The process itself can be very frustrating and there was never a time that you did not have an encouraging word, another option to look into or another opportunity for us to pursue.  We believe it was a combination of hard work by both you and Mikaela that landed her the opportunity to play volleyball at ULM. We are so excited about this and feel this is exactly the “right fit” for us.
Thank-you for all of your help over the years.

Sincerely,
Alan and Sherry Worley

It is with great pleasure that we recommend Roesle Sports Consulting for any high school athlete that desires to compete at the college level. When we first entered into the recruiting process, we had no idea what was involved, or how to go about getting our daughter on any college coaches’ radar, we were simply overwhelmed. We didn’t have a clue what to do, or where to start. As it turned out, one of our daughter’s teammates had already signed up for Dennis’ services, so we contacted Dennis to help us, and the rest as they say is history...

We quickly found out how much work was involved if your athlete really wants to go to the next level. We first met with Dennis so he could interview our athlete, and to educate her, and us, on what all is involved in the recruiting process. He helped prepare our daughter on how to put together a list of schools that fit her softball and academic skills, how to communicate with the coaches, and the importance of staying in constant communication with the coaches. He put together two skills videos for Reagan, one in her freshman year, then another in her junior year, which were posted on a profile he created for her online. He constantly kept us informed of upcoming skills camps and prospect tournaments and spoke to coaches on behalf of our daughter at the tournaments. While Dennis doesn’t do the “work”, he works very hard making sure your athlete follows the plan and puts in the work. There is no way our daughter would have signed with her school without Dennis, we would have been too stressed out and overwhelmed to see this through had it not been for his help throughout the process.
